Jia Yu, General manager of Shenzhen Ter Precision Manufacturing Co., shares how the company is applying CAM Assist to accelerate its CAM programming, meeting the needs of Chinese robotics and energy customers more quickly, all within existing workflows.

Our company is located in Shenzhen, China; we do precision part machining for industry robotics, and energy.
Our programming process requires a huge amount of manual time. For a complex part, engineers spend hours on and just on programming, with no time left for more valuable technical challenges. So, we have been searching for the solutions that can automate programming and reduce manual work.
Finally, we chose CAM Assist. I first knew of it in November 2024. By April 2025 CAM Assist became available for sale in China: we immediately contacted the authorized reseller in China and got it.
At the beginning(CloudNC) provided us with software training. CAM Assist not only has the automatic programming capabilities, but more surprisingly, we don't need to change the programming workflow.
Some of our engineers use Mastercam, others use NX. You simply need to integrate CAM Assist into your preferred software and it can speed up your process. CAM Assist has a standard tool library, but if it doesn't match your machining habits, you can also create a custom tool library, based on your production needs.
It’s incredibly user-friendly and efficient. We have been using it for several months. We found that CAM Assist’s efficiency was remarkable: For a part like this, it takes several hours to program by manual work, but now we need only over 10 minutes with CAM Assist, and then it takes about 20 minutes for the manual check and adjustment, so the total time is just about 30 minutes. It saves 70% of the time.
In September 2025, CAM Assist 2.0 was released. The update of CAM Assist comes very fast.
