CAM Assist 2.0 marks a major step forward in how automation, intelligence, and user control come together inside Siemens NX. This release isn’t just about performance or speed; it’s about creating an experience that gives NX users more visibility, more influence, and more control over their CAM Assist results.
For many of our NX customers, defining the manufacturing process is the foundation of their manufacturing workflow. With CAM Assist 2.0, we’ve focused on making the experience intuitive, transparent, and adaptable to every manufacturing process's unique setup.
CAM Assist 2.0 delivers a completely new web interface. It’s faster, clearer, and designed around real manufacturing workflows. Controls and menus are exactly where you expect them, making it easier than ever to move through the Assess, Prepare, and Analyse steps.
The process is fluid and logical, helping you stay focused on the part, not the software. This new interface is central to our vision for CAM acceleration that’s both intelligent and transparent.
Smoother integrations
CAM Assist 2.0 brings a much deeper and smoother integration with Siemens NX than was previously the case. The new Assess, Prepare, Analyse workflow gives our NX users control and visibility of how the part is going to be machined and what operations are going to be used in NX.
Within the CAM Assist 2.0 strategy editor, users can now preview machining strategies through the new web-based program view before any toolpaths are generated. This allows you to review, adjust, and confirm your approach early, ensuring you get the exact results you want before sending the output to NX.
Persistent shop settings and configurable tool libraries mean CAM Assist now adapts to your environment. It remembers your machines, tools, and materials, and applies them every time you run a part. For NX users, this means an AI that follows their settings and manufacturing methods.
Improved Teamcenter compatibility
CAM Assist 2.0 also introduces improved compatibility with Teamcenter-managed NX environments. Early access users have already seen success using CAM Assist in these setups, benefiting from faster workflows and easier collaboration.
This integration is designed to fit directly into existing enterprise processes, supporting version control, permissions, and managed data environments. We are continuing to expand coverage across more Teamcenter versions and configurations, ensuring the same reliable experience for a wider range of NX users.
Faster NX Version Support
Another key improvement in CAM Assist 2.0 is the speed at which new NX versions can now be supported. The new system architecture allows CloudNC to release compatibility updates more quickly.
With version 2.0, CAM Assist already supports NX 2506, and upcoming NX versions will follow shortly after their public release. This means users can benefit from the latest NX features and improvements without delay.
Security and enterprise readiness
CAM Assist 2.0 meets enterprise-level security and compliance standards, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications now in place. For organizations operating under stricter requirements, CloudNC also offers CAM Assist GovCloud, hosted in North America on AWS GovCloud (Region: us-gov-west-1).
Full details on security, subprocessors, and data handling can be found at trust.cloudnc.com.
CAM Assist 2.0 for NX represents more than a technical upgrade, it’s a rethinking of how automation integrates with the tools and environments our users already rely on.
